GLENBURN SPORTS COLLEGE Eek Films will be working with a group of twenty KS4 pupils from this brilliant school to write and create four short animations. It's a massive project and one that will ensure we hit the ground animating in 2009!

BEING MUM We're making a documentary with a group of young Mums in Kensington. These strong young women are talking honestly and with humour for the benefit of other young Mums-to-be for a dvd funded by The Culture Company BURIED ABOVE GROUND has made it to the small screen as well as the silver screen Tune in to Open Culture 167 on SKY at 12.30pm

Well done to us!! BURIED ABOVE GROUND has been selected as one of only ten young people's films that will be screened as part of the MADE UP IN LIVERPOOL event. The big night is November 20th at FACT Might even wear me tux! Well done everyone - you've made us proud!

Working with the lovely people at Knowsley’s Children and Family Service producing an animated drugs awareness DVD for young people. It's called BOBBY GETS COOL We worked with two primary schools in Knowsley on the character designs. It's a 15 minute resource for use in the classrooms of Knowsley.

DECEMBER 2007 NEWS
To round off a fantastic year for Eek Films Limited, the company has been commissioned by Knowsley Education Development Office to produce an animated film all about drugs awareness for young people. You can follow the film's progress, which is being developed with initial brainstorming at Nine Trees Primary school in Liverpool, at the blog: Knowsley Drugs Awareness. 2008 promises to be another great year with Eek Films definitely going in the right direction. All the best, let's hope it's a good one!

ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to have been funded by First Light Movies to make an animated film in collaboration with Alt Valley Vision and De La Salle School. The Film will be called BURIED ABOVE GROUND and will tell the story of William James McKenzie, The Rodney Street ghost!

BRILLIANT NEWS! A short film made with some young people from Kensington Central for a BBC Sport Competition has WON THE COMPETITION! It was screened on Football Focus and you can view it on the BBC website.
It's Traore's Own Goal and two lucky lads are off to Wembley on May 19th.

GREAT NEWS! Eek Films with Kensington Youth Central have been funded by the Liverpool Culture Company to produce a short animation - live action combo film called The Eighth Wonder of Kenny. The project will involve young people from Kensington writing, directing, acting, animating and editing a film based around the Kensington area and it's past glories! Phew!

Working with Knowsley Youth & Play Service Intervention Scheme and our old friends up at Toxteth TV on a 10 minute film.
It's a black comedy/drama and is about risk taking in youth culture with a big crash in the first act!

DECEMBER NEWS
Tony Ealey has been based once a week at De La Salle in Croxteth as WRITER in RESIDENCE; teaching a course on 'screenwriting for animation'. The programme is part of the ongoing work of the Writing Together partnership. With funding from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, NAWE (The National Association of Writers in Education), are running the three year programme. AUGUST NEWS
Tony Ealey, Eek Films director was this month presented with the ENTREPRENEUR'S AWARD 2006
at the MEDS annual ceremony. It was attended by the lord Mayor of Liverpool and the High Sheriff amongst the many other VIPs!
MEDS is the Muslim Enterprise Development Service based in Liverpool and they do great work for the whole community.
